How do I get VBA in Reflextions for IBM to grab data out of an Excel spreadsheet using macros?

I am not very computer literate, but I do record, debug, and manipulate macros through VBA in Reflextions for IBM. I also am able to do some macros in Excel. I need to integrate the two programs to maximize my efficientcy.
